The City of Chula Vista is seeking a part-time, non-benefited helper to support Public Works in a variety of routine maintenance tasks. Under close supervision, you may assist in the maintenance, repair, and construction of streets, signs, sewers, and related structures, with duties varying by assignment.

Responsibilities include patching streets and sidewalks, painting curbs, cleaning sidewalks, removing graffiti, and operating basic tools.

Qualificações

• Ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
• At least 15 1/2 years of age at time of application (where required).

Responsabilidades

• Assist in maintenance, repair, and construction of streets, signs, sewers, storm drains, and related structures.
• Patch City streets and sidewalks.
• Replace street signs and paint sidewalk curbs.
• Clean sidewalks and remove graffiti; operate basic hand and power tools.
