The Trustees of Reservations is seeking a Special Police Officer for Crane Beach in Ipswich, MA. Weekend/evening shifts are common, with peak season May–September. Compensation ranges from $20 to $22 per hour, with 8–32 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Active or recently retired from a law enforcement career.
• Massachusetts POST Certification required.
• MPTC continuing education courses mandatory after hire.

Responsibilities

• Enforce Crane regulations and local laws; report to Ipswich Police Chief and managers.
• Provide security for Crane Beach and Crane Estate through patrols.
• Maintain thorough incident reporting and record keeping.
• Operate and care for equipment (trucks, ATVs, radios).
