Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a Public Safety Officer I to support the safety and security of hospital campuses. The role covers day-to-day protection of people and property, with an evening shift, 2:45pm–11:15pm and weekend/holiday rotation at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, MA.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, relevant security experience, and required certifications. Excellent teamwork and the ability to obtain MA Special Police powers are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associates degree preferred.
• Prior military, security, corrections, police or relevant experience a plus.
• Must be able to obtain Special Police/Constable powers within a municipality.

Responsibilities

• Protects and secures SHS assets and information and ensures safety of all on hospital property.
• Guards against fire, theft, vandalism, and unauthorized entry; controls access points.
• Maintains compliance with certification requirements and vaccination policy.
