Job summary

Heart Hospital of Austin is hiring a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. You will work with physicians to provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care and advocate for patients to ensure an exceptional experience.

The role requires ACLS within 90 days, BLS within 30 days, an RN license, and an applicable nursing degree. No travel is required; this is a seasonal/opening at a renowned cardiac care facility.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification obtained within 90 days of employment
• BLS certification obtained within 30 days of employment
• RN license active in Texas or compact state
• Nursing degree or diploma as specified in job posting

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition on admission and during each shift.
• Perform procedures or functions ordered by the provider.
• Document care administration in the medical record.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response.
• Maintain knowledge of cardiac and medical-surgical care equipment and procedures.
