Job summary

Sarris Candies, Inc. in Canonsburg, PA is seeking a dependable Room Support Team Member to help keep our production operation running smoothly. This hands-on role supports production lines by ensuring chocolate, raw materials, packaging, trays, boxes, and other supplies are available throughout the day.

Note: this role is seasonal from August to May each year, with the possibility of year-round work based on business needs. Shift is full-time, daylight, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.

Qualifications

• Dependable and able to work effectively as part of a team.

• Organized and able to respond to changing production needs.
• Willing to perform a variety of hands-on tasks throughout the day.
• Able to follow safety, GMP, sanitation, and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Keep production lines stocked with raw materials, packaging, and supplies.
• Stage materials and supplies for production.
• Fill chocolate melters and document chocolate usage.
• Bring chocolate and other materials into production as needed.
• Move full skids out of production areas and replace with empty skids.
• Help make corrugated boxes and stock packaging materials.
• Assist with shrink-wrapping finished boxed candy.
• Keep production and staging areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Assist with tray and mold washing when needed.
• Help with recycling, trash removal, and general production room cleanup.
• Support Machine Operators, Production, Warehouse, and Sanitation as needed.
• Follow all food safety, GMP, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on production needs.
