Job summary

Scotts Miracle-Gro is seeking a production-friendly candidate to operate forklift equipment, perform safety checks, and support daily manufacturing tasks on the production line. The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and adhering to safety and quality protocols.

Overtime, weekend, and holiday availability is expected, with weekly pay at the stated hourly rate. A High School diploma or equivalent is required, and previous plant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1+ years of production plant experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand 8–12 hours.
• Must pass fit for duty physical annually.
• Able to work overtime including weekends and holidays.
• Basic math, mechanical aptitude, and ability to adjust equipment to meet specs.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks of equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Carry out daily production assignments as directed by supervisor.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned area.
• Safely operate forklift to transport materials.
• Ensure stocks of needed materials are ready and available at all times.
• Communicate effectively with peers and supervisors about line performance.
• Perform manufacturing inspections to ensure quality of granular packaging products and display units.
