Job summary

Amentum invites applications for a Seasonal Contract Foreman to lead the National Science Foundation's United States Antarctic Program maintenance tasks. You will supervise the preventative maintenance shop, perform hands-on diagnostics, and support installation and commissioning of critical systems in challenging environments.

Requirements include a high school diploma, six years of maintenance experience with at least three in a lead role, and familiarity with oil-fired heating appliances.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum six years of documented maintenance experience (preventive/corrective).
• Three of six years must be in a lead/foreman role.
• Experience with oil-fired combustion heating appliances (South Pole).

Responsibilities

• Supervise Preventative Maintenance Shop activities and personnel.
• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on facilities, equipment, systems, and infrastructure.
• Support installation and commissioning of equipment and systems.
• Plan maintenance tasks and determine proper procedures.
• Coordinate bench stock supplies and materials.
• Respond to emergency service calls.
• Maintain documentation of hours, materials, and processes.
• Interact with NSF, military, and agency officials as needed.
• Provide timely performance feedback and end-of-season evaluations.
