Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Seasonal Contract Preventative Maintenance Foreman to support NSF’s United States Antarctic Program. You will supervise prevention maintenance operations, perform hands-on diagnosis, and coordinate tasking under supervision, planning from plans, schematics, and manuals.

This role requires outdoor work in extreme cold, deployment to Antarctica, and interaction with NSF, military, and other officials.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum six years of preventive/corrective maintenance experience.
• At least three years in a lead/supervisor role.
• Experience with oil-fired combustion heating appliances (South Pole).

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Preventative Maintenance Shop and personnel.
• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on facilities and equipment.
• Coordinate and ensure availability of supplies and parts.
• Respond to emergency service calls and document hours and tasks.
• Maintain safety, quality, and procedural standards during maintenance tasks.
