Job summary

City of Tukwila invites applications for Preschool Recreation Leaders to support the Tukwila Community Center’s Preschool Program. You will assist with daily tasks and help the teacher implement lesson plans and activities. This is a seasonal/temporary, part-time role with hours 8:45 am–12:45 pm, Monday–Friday (about 20 hours/week).

The position is capped at 1040 hours per year and offers no benefits. Applicants should be at least 18, possess a HS diploma or GED, and be capable of leading art,

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to lead activities in art, sports and games for preschoolers.
• Experience with preschool programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with general supervision of preschool programs and activities.
• Safeguards participants and maintains a clean and safe environment.
• Oversees equipment and supplies usage by participants.
• Completes forms, reports, and information for recreation staff.
• Enforces rules and takes corrective action when needed.
• Helps plan, schedule, and organize preschool events and activities.
