Job summary

Surgery Ventures, powered by HCA Healthcare, seeks a Seasonal PreOp/PACU Nurse to support high-volume periods. The position rotates among ambulatory centers and pays a seasonal RN rate of $60 per hour, with a typical wage range of $38.14–$54.54 per hour.

Schedule runs October 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026. Responsibilities include preparing care areas, starting IVs, administering preoperative meds, and monitoring patients through recovery.

Qualifications

• Active RN license as required by state of employment.
• BCLS certification is required on employment; online cert not acceptable.
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire; PALS if facility requires within 30 days.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in Preop, PACU, ICU, or Surgery.
• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or higher.

Responsibilities

• Rotate to other ambulatory surgery center facilities.
• Prepare patient care area and ensure equipment and supplies are available.
• Initiate IV therapy using aseptic technique and start kit.
• Label medications appropriately and administer pre-operative meds.
• Monitor patient until transfer to the OR and report complications.
• Maintain IV intake/output and document assessments.
• Check dressings and report abnormalities to the surgeon.
• Ensure discharge criteria are met and patient is ready for discharge.
