Job summary

R.D. Offutt Farms seeks a Seasonal Piler Operator to drive and operate a skid steer safely, maintaining flat, level potato piles to support the harvest line. You will work outdoors with a team, following crew leader directions and communicating effectively with management and peers.

Responsibilities include light maintenance, equipment checks, and maintaining a professional image around customers. This role emphasizes safety, training participation, and teamwork within a busy farming environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to meet physical requirements and work outdoors.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Experience with farm or heavy equipment operation preferred.
• Must be able to work overtime during harvest season.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a flat and level potato pile while running a skid steer operator.
• Must maintain less than an eight-inch drop for potatoes.
• Perform preventative maintenance and light repairs on equipment.
• Follow tasks and directions given by crew leader.
• Communicate effectively with management and other team members.
• Assist in the maintenance of buildings and equipment ensuring they are in appropriate condition.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
• Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of R.D. Offutt Farms.
• Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
• Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.

The primary responsibility of R.D Offutt Farms Seasonal Piler Operator is to drive and run a skid steer operator in a safe and efficient manner while contributing to the pace of the harvest line. This individual works well in a team environment.

Job Duties:

• Maintain a flat and level potato pile while running a skid steer operator
• Must maintain less than an eight-inch drop for potatoes
• Perform preventative maintenance and light repairs on equipment
• Follow tasks and directions given by crew leader
• Communicate effectively with management and other team members
• Assist in the maintenance of buildings and equipment ensuring they are in appropriate condition
