Job summary

LIFT Enrichment is seeking enthusiastic Chef Teachers to lead hands-on cooking workshops for students in Title I schools. This role offers flexible, seasonal part-time work in California with paid training and mileage reimbursement.

We provide training even if you have no professional chef experience; you will teach recipes, nutrition, and kitchen safety while supervising students and ensuring a safe, fun learning environment at assigned schools.

Qualifications

• No professional chef experience is required; training will be provided.
• Available Mon–Fri 2–5 pm; 2–3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead groups of 15-20 students (K-8th grade) through hands-on cooking activities.
• Teach fun, healthy recipes using our provided curriculum.
• Introduce kids to basic cooking, nutrition, and kitchen safety.
• Keep students engaged, excited, and involved.
• Manage setup, cooking, and cleanup.
• Grocery shop and prep ingredients as needed.
• Transport program supplies to the school.
