Job summary

The American Heritage Companies in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Security & Safety Officer for the seasonal, hourly role. You will patrol park grounds, monitor entries, respond to incidents, and support operations while maintaining a safe environment.

Role requires at least 2 years of related experience, strong de-escalation skills, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass background and drug screening. Outdoor, Western-themed venue with evenings, weekends, and holidays work expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position.
• Demonstrated proficiency in effective de-escalation techniques.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of patron, employee, and company information.
• Strong memory and recall skills, with the ability to quickly retrieve relevant information during incidents.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Patrol park grounds on foot and/or via motorized vehicles to ensure safety and security.
• Monitor and authorize the entry and exit of employees, visitors, and other individuals at the backstage entrance.
• Respond promptly to all security needs and calls for service.
• Report and communicate any suspicious activity to the appropriate parties.
• Provide customer service and assistance to park patrons and employees as needed.
• Collaborate with local public agencies in response to serious security concerns.
• Complete daily reports documenting activities and noting irregularities such as property damage, equipment issues, theft, unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Investigate reported disturbances and take appropriate action.
• Prepare detailed written reports and obtain statements from victims and witnesses regarding security and safety incidents.
• Maintain accurate records of keys, radios, and other facility equipment signed out from the Security post.
• Assist with maintenance, landscaping, and general facility projects during downtime.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
