Job summary

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment is hiring for a seasonal parade float crew member in San Diego to support the Christmas Celebration Season. You will operate and move parade floats, perform pre-run checks, and assist with props and technical systems to ensure a safe, entertaining show.

Responsibilities include driving floats, backstage and onstage duties, and maintaining logs. Requires a valid California driver’s license, ability to lift 50 pounds, and flexibility for varied hours including

Qualifications

• Be willing to comply with grooming guidelines and employment standards.
• Ability to successfully complete all training requirements including tests and certifications within timelines

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maneuver float vehicles weighing up to 16,500lbs.
• Drive parade floats along parade route and into/out of storage.
• Perform start-of-day checks and log vehicle and technical element performance.
• Tow float units, drive backstage and onstage, load/unload characters, assist with props and technical systems readiness.
• Adhere to safety guidelines, procedures, routes, and cues.
• Assist in startup and preparation of floats (cleaning, effect preparation, set props).
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Operate on-board show control, communications, audio, lighting, video, and special effects hardware.
