Job summary

Primo Brands Corporation is hiring a Seasonal Production Technician at our Ontario, California facility. The role offers 12-hour shifts with a base rate of $22.35 per hour plus a 6%-8% shift differential.

The position supports multiple shifts and requires flexibility, including holidays and weekends, with training on day shift initially. Responsibilities include operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting production lines, recording key metrics, and ensuring GMP and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Exposure to high-speed production and/or basic maintenance is preferred.
• Strong English language skills essential for communication.

Responsibilities

• Operate, changeover, clean, troubleshoot, and perform basic maintenance on production equipment.
• Record preventative maintenance activities, quality inspection data, downtime, and output.
• Adhere to GMP, safety practices, and participate in safety programs.
• Communicate issues that prevent operation to standards/procedures.
• Meet or exceed efficiency, production, and downtime metrics.
• Perform hourly quality checks and inspect raw materials against quality standards.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Maintenance teams to maximize output.
• Attend shift and plant meetings and cross-train to support operations.

Seasonal Production Technician

Factory Location: Ontario, California

Compensation: $22.35 / hour

Shift differential: 6%-8% of base hourly rate paid for applicable hours worked

Schedule:

Primo Brands manufacturing facilities operate with a variety of shifts in order to meet our production needs and require flexibility to be successful.

12 Hour Shifts Available:

Days: 5:00 AM - 5:15 PM

Nights: 5:00 PM - 5:15 AM

Shift availability is based on needs, and is subject to change at any time. Any shift changes that take place will be communicated in advance and follow all applicable state/federal laws.

Ability to work holidays and weekends per business needs

Must be able to attend training for the first few weeks on day shift 5:00 AM - 5:15 PM, Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities

• Operate, changeover, clean, troubleshoot, and complete basic maintenance according to company standards on production equipment consisting of fillers, labelers, case packers, palletizers, blow mold machines, wrappers, and forklifts
• Record the following: preventative maintenance activities, quality inspection data, equipment downtime, production output and other key metrics
• Adhere to safe work practices, good manufacturing practices, and participate in safe behavior observation programs
• Communicate effectively when issues arise that prevent operating to company standards/procedures
• Meet or exceed performance metrics including efficiency, production, and downtime
• Perform mathematical calculations as needed
• Ensure quality product is sent to customers by completing hourly quality checks
• Inspect raw materials against quality standards before loading them
• Interact with team members from various departments (Quality Assurance, Maintenance, etc.) to maximize output and efficiency
• Attend shift, team, and plant meetings during their scheduled times
• Measure and continuously improve the line operation as a team and with other technicians
• Cross-train in other areas to support operations during downtimes
• Maintain your workstation in an organized and clean manner ensuring safety and good manufacturing practices
• Focus on safe work practices and high quality while executing duties with a sense of urgency

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
• Forklift experience preferred
• Prior experience in clean manufacturing preferred
• Ability to work the scheduled shift which includes start-up and handover meetings
• Exposure to high-speed production and/or basic maintenance is preferred
• Troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience
• Ability to work on your own and with a team
• Strong communication skills both face to face and over the radio
• Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft applications, SAP experience a plus
• Forklift experience is preferred, but we are able to train new associates
• Ability to lift and move 50 lbs. and stand on your feet for extended periods of time throughout the day
• Ability to work in adverse environmental conditions, including inclement weather and changes in temperature
• Candidates must possess strong English language skills to effectively communicate with customers and provide exceptional service. Proficiency in English is essential for understanding customer needs, resolving inquiries, and collaborating with team members.
