Job summary

Job description

Our Packaging Operators are the behind-the-scenes magicians who are responsible for making sure our brews get packaged and out the door for our fans to enjoy. Primary Responsibilities

Equipment Operation

• Operate kegging and canning equipment, including fillers, depalletizers, carton/tray builders, pallet wrappers, labelers, and conveyors.
• Ensure proper start-up and shut-down of utilities and machinery.
• Apply Clean-in-Place (CIP) and Sanitize-in-Place (SIP) principles for equipment cleaning.
• Maintain line efficiency by managing the supply of empty packaging materials and removing full packaging.
• Monitor cooperage quality and promptly address any issues.
• Ensure accurate coding and labeling of containers.

Maintenance and Records

• Perform routine daily maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Address product quality issues promptly and stop the packaging line if necessary.
• Maintain accurate packaging logs and records.
• Deliver top-tier customer service to internal team members as well as external stakeholders who you will regularly interact with.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Keep the work area clean and organized, including regular cleaning of equipment and work areas.
• Lead by example in upholding the company’s Core Values and fostering a positive working environment.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Quality Assurance

• Monitor and adjust carbonation and dissolved oxygen levels.
• Uphold product quality standards and proactively notify the appropriate parties of any potential quality issues.

Logistics Support

• Operate pallet jacks as needed for movement of packaging materials.
• Assist with accepting deliveries and other miscellaneous warehousing tasks.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Be willing to assist in other areas of the brewery as needed to support our efforts to Make It Better.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Previous warehouse or packaging operations experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills required.
• Physical ability to handle and maneuver 30lb cases and 165lb kegs.
• Proficiency in using calculators, computers, and phones.
• High level of mental and visual attention required for planning and executing complex work methods and sequence.
