Job summary

Athletic Brewing Company LLC in Milford, CT is hiring for a packaging position on the 3:30 pm–12 am shift. The role involves packaging cans/kegs, operating packaging stations, and learning forklift duties.

You will work under standard procedures, ensure safe, organized work areas, and collaborate with a team to meet production targets. Salary is commensurate with experience, with opportunities for performance bonuses.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous forklift experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills - Word, Excel, email, NetSuite a plus.
  • Previous manufacturing experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Basic ability to package product into cans or kegs following all SOPs and adjust production as needed.
  • Operate and set up packaging stations, including date codes and pallet tagging.
  • Shadow Operator to monitor packaging line machinery.
  • Receive forklift training and operate forklift as needed.
  • Communicate with management and packaging team about status.
  • Maintain clean, safe work area in line with OSHA and GMPs.
  • Familiarize with product and attend sensory panels and off-flavor training.
  • Navigate Netsuite to build pallets and print pallet tags.
  • Fill daily packaging forms for CIP, cleaning, downtime, etc.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Job Responsibilities
  • Basic ability to package product into cans or kegs following all standard operating procedures, while also being able to complete production adjustments based on the changing needs of the business.
  • Able to master basic operations of each machine station including starting and stopping machines, station setup, how to change a date code, proper placement of trays, where to put glue in, and packaging into machinery.
  • Monitor basic operations of packaging line machinery by shadowing Operator 2+.
  • Able to be trained to perform basic forklift operations.
  • Communicate with management and other packaging team members on the status of packaging.
  • Collect and submit pallet tags for cans, lids, and other packaging materials.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following OSHA and GMPs.
  • Familiarize with product and attend sensory pannels/off flavor training.
  • Basic ability to navigate Netsuite - builds pallet. print pallet tags, etc.
  • Fills out daily packaging forms to update daily logs for CIPs, Cleaning, Downtime, etc.

Job Details

Location: Milford, CT

Schedule: Monday - Friday from 3:30 pm - 12 am

Salary: Commensurate with experience - Base salary and opportunities for performance bonuses.

Hourly rate $23/hr.

Shift Differential from 11 pm - 5 am - $6/hr.
