Job summary

Michaels in Waco, TX is seeking a Store Associate to help customers find products, assist with purchases, and ensure a friendly checkout experience.

You will help unload trucks, stock shelves, and follow planograms while supporting BOPIS/SFS and cross-training in Custom Framing. The role requires standing long hours and lifting merchandise. Michaels offers benefits and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move throughout the store.
• Comfort with cash handling and providing solutions to customers.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
• Maintain store recovery and merchandise cleanliness, in-stock condition, and returns/go back flow.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to SOPs and Company policies; model positive behavior.
