Responsibilities

• Provide constant technical assistance to the surgeon within the scope of practice.
• Follow current professional standards per AORN and AST.
• Be willing to cross-train and float to meet institutional needs.
• Join the Surgical Services team and contribute to patient safety and quality care.
• Support a seasonally-oriented OR schedule and be adaptable to on-call requirements.

Education

Graduate of a surgical technology program or equivalent

Surgical Technician certification is required

Six months of operating room experience

Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
