Job summary

NW Service Enterprises, Inc. is seeking an on-site Assembly Technician to work at local retail stores such as Home Depot, Lowe's, or Walmart in Salem, OR.

You will assemble merchandise and displays, including barbecues, wheelbarrows, lawn tractors, work benches and furniture, with seasonal demand driving flexible scheduling. Pay starts at $17.00–$25.00 per hour with potential to average higher through performance-based piece-rate after training; experience can push earnings beyond $30/hour.

Qualifications

• Day-shift/early morning availability; some weekend availability.
• Self-motivated: able to work hard with minimal supervision.
• A mechanical aptitude: you are handy.
• Has basic hand tools, cordless screw gun, or impact driver.
• A smartphone and e-mail address.
• Internet access via a smartphone or mobile device.
• Ability to pass a background test.
• Ability to pass a drug test.
• Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
• Reliable transportation.
• Capable of working on your feet for extended periods.
• Kneel, bend, twist, and lift 50+ pounds repeatedly.
• Experience is a plus, but we will train.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and repair products and merchandise, using manufacturer instructions while adhering to retailer rules and guidelines.
• Provide excellent customer service, building and maintaining positive relationships with clients.
• Check in with Retailer management to confirm the build list and inventory.
• Generate and complete invoices daily.
• Report and communicate effectively with your Area Manager.
• Maintain a safe, clean workspace and leave clients with a clean build area.
