Job summary

The City of Fishers in Indiana is seeking seasonal snow plow drivers to help keep roads safe during winter weather. This on-call, temporary position pays $20.00 per hour when called in for snow event support and uses city equipment rather than personal vehicles. Shifts are 12 hours, typically nights 9pm-9am or days 9am-9pm.

Start times are not flexible, but end times may vary with conditions. Paid training sessions will be held on November 20 and December 18.

Qualifications

• Valid Indiana driver's license (CDL not required).
• 3 years of experience as a licensed driver.
• Able to be insured to drive a city vehicle (driving records will be checked).
• Minimum of 18 years old.
• Basic vehicle knowledge.
• Plowing experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plow snow during and after a snow event as needed.
• Prepare roads for snow event as needed.
• Use City equipment for snow removal needs. No personal vehicle use required.
