Job summary

Imperial Beach Management Co. is seeking a part-time seasonal Lifeguard I to patrol and protect the beach, conduct rescues, and enforce safety regulations in Imperial Beach, CA. The role requires on-call availability and readiness to respond during emergencies, including weekends and holidays.

The ideal candidate will hold current CPR/EMT credentials, a valid CA driver's license, and high school diploma or GED. Training and certifications are required within the first months of employment.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED or equivalent experience.
• Valid California driver’s license with clean record or ability to obtain.
• CPR certification for Professional Rescuers or BLS.
• Emergency Medical Technician or Red Cross equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ocean/beach surveillance from station; respond to emergencies.
• Perform rescues and provide medical aid; operate boats and lifesaving equipment.
• Conduct search and recovery in ocean and waterways.
• Explain and enforce laws, ordinances, and safety procedures.
• Maintain safety equipment and keep logs and reports.
