Job summary

Medical City Alliance in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the NICU on a PRN seasonal basis. The role involves providing high-level neonatal care from birth through NICU, including ventilator management and IV care, with shifts that may include weekends and holidays.

Seasonal staff work under first-call-off policies with no guaranteed hours and must meet competency requirements. Requirements include an Associate degree (BSN preferred, BSN within 3 years), Texas RN license

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; BSN preferred.
• BSN required within 3 years of employment.
• Professional Nursing Organization membership encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards and nursing policies.
• Resolves patient problems using multidisciplinary team strategies.
• Protects patients and employees by infection-control and medication handling policies.
• Care and treatment of neonatal patients from birth through NICU continuum, including ventilator management and IV care.
• Follow unit protocols to promote safe delivery of care and infection control.
• Provide support to families of NICU patients.
