Job summary

State of Indiana is hiring Seasonal Natural Resources Workers at Morgan-Monroe State Forest in Martinsville. You will engage in survey, biological monitoring and resource management tasks across diverse forest environments.

Positions start at an hourly wage of $12.25 and may require afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This seasonal role lasts up to 180 working days in an 11-month period and does not offer traditional benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1 year of work experience.
• Some college coursework in wildlife management or related areas may be required.
• May be required to travel to different properties and wear a uniform.

Responsibilities

• Resource Management Techs assist with invasive species control and trail maintenance.
• Laborers maintain and repair property buildings and grounds.
• Clerks perform inventory, stocking and reporting tasks.
• Office Assistants handle inquiries and provide customer service.
• Entomology Workers sort samples and assist with pest identifications.
• Forest Worker supports forestry resource surveys and monitoring.
• Nursery Workers collect, weigh and grade seedlings.
• Forestry Program Interns conduct field inspections and prepare reports.
• Security Officers monitor visitors and enforce regulations.
• Gate Attendants handle revenue collection and cash/credit handling.
