Interstate Group is seeking a Seasonal Moving Specialist in Springfield, VA to load and unload vehicles carrying household goods, office furniture, or other items in a safe, careful manner.

The role requires the ability to inspect trucks, prepare vehicles, and assist the crew leader. Candidates should be able to lift and move items and maintain accurate inventories while supporting warehouse operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Language: must be able to speak English.
• Math: add/subtract two-digit numbers and multiply/divide with 10s and 100s using money, weight, volume, distance.
• Reasoning: follow simple instructions and handle standard situations.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads vehicles with household goods, office furniture, or other items.
• Inspects truck for damages, tires, travel readiness, and notes defects before departure.
• Assist in preparing vehicle and ensuring materials are loaded safely and inventory is recorded.
• Assist crew leader and support warehouse operations as needed.
• Lift, pack, load, and unload materials safely and correctly.
• Follow safety rules and maintain inventory accuracy.

SUMMARY

Loads and unloads vehicles containing household goods, office furniture or other goods in a safe and careful manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Assists in the inspection of the truck assigned for noted damages, flat or worn tires and travel worthiness.
• Assists in the preparation of vehicle before leaving warehouse to assure that all materials are placed on vehicle and that any defects are noted and all fluid levels are checked and taken care of.
• Possess the ability to properly and safely lift, pack, load and unload the vehicle as required.
• Writes complete and accurate inventory of household contents, office furniture or other goods whenrequired.
• Assists in any capacity as directed by the crew leader on the assigned job.
• Assists when necessary, in any operation of thewarehouse.
