Job summary

Vail Mountain is seeking a Sous Chef for the Winter Seasonal 2026/2027. You will manage the culinary team alongside the Chef, ensuring high-quality food and safety standards while promoting teamwork and guest satisfaction. Housing may be available for the season.

Minimum 3+ years in kitchen with a culinary background; ServSafe certification required and English fluency essential. Positions located at Golden Peak Grill, Mid Vail, Game Creek Club, and Eagle's Nest offer varied shift types and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; culinary degree or certification preferred.
• ServSafe certification or regional equivalent required.
• 3+ years of kitchen experience; 1+ years supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk continuously; lift up to 50 lbs.
• Fluent English; bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the culinary team, including scheduling, training, and evaluations.
• Maintain kitchen standards for cleanliness, safety, and sanitation.
• Develop and train menu items and station playbooks.
• Oversee warehouse operations including shipping, inventory, and waste.
• Resolve guest issues and contribute to GX scores; may act as supervisor when needed.
