Job summary

MLB is seeking an Assistant, Minor League Operations & Development (Seasonal) in New York to support key baseball operations functions, data tools and reporting across the department. Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree from any discipline.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Willing to learn new tools independently.
• Familiarity with R/Python/SQL through coursework or projects.
• Experience with generative AI tools is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and outside standard hours.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Minor League Operations & Development and Baseball Operations on league operations and administration.
• Liaise between player development stakeholders across clubs and departments.
• Maintain and improve data pipelines behind reports and tools.
• Assist in preparing materials to monitor governance compliance.
• Use generative AI tools in day-to-day work.
• Provide daily operational and administrative support.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis on player development trends.
• Develop core baseball operations competencies through hands-on experience.
