Job summary

Total Wine & More in Texas is hiring a Seasonal Merchandiser to support store operations and provide a warm, knowledgeable guest experience. You will maximize product inventory, assist with online orders, and help with curbside pickup and deliveries as needed.

Expected duties include greeting customers, stocking displays, and participating in wine, spirits, and beer training. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is required; competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience, 1+ years in a retail setting preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, including evenings and weekends.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Walk, bend down repeatedly, and be on feet for 8-10 hours a day.
• Ability to safely lift, load, and handle cases and pallets.
• Climb ladders and lift 50 lbs. overhead and repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• All Store Team Members play an essential role in building our company brand by delivering excellent customer service.
• Maximize product inventory and support online business operations, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• While both part-time and full-time positions generally focus on merchandising responsibilities, you may also be assigned sales, front end or other responsibilities as needed.
• Internally, you will be referred to as Merchandiser and report to the store management team.
• Load and deliver orders in a safe and professional manner, following company policies and procedures and abiding by all traffic and safety laws - if delivery is added as an essential job function.
• Deliver exceptional service and a personalized experience by greeting customers, engaging to build relationships, and informing about products and services.
• Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
• Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards across the store.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol and maintain a safe and compliant store environment.
• Complete cross-functional responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
