Job summary

MainStreet Family Care in Goldsboro, NC is seeking a Seasonal Medical Assistant to support urgent care, primary care, telemedicine and occupational medicine during the October–February peak season.

Responsibilities include clinical tasks (room setup, vitals, patient prep, medication dispensing), clerical duties (records, scheduling, opening/closing), and general duties to maintain a clean, organized clinic. Rotating shifts with weekend coverage are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Prior medical assisting experience or education is beneficial but not required.
• Medical assisting certification is not required.

Responsibilities

• Clinical duties: prepare examination rooms, take histories and vital signs, prep patients for exam, dispense medication as directed, educate on discharge instructions, handle calls, address patient concerns.
