Job summary

Mathspace is recruiting Seasonal Professional Development Specialists to train teachers and school leaders across Virginia. You will deliver high-impact professional learning on Mathspace’s digital solutions, both virtually and onsite, to personalize instruction and improve outcomes.

Ideal candidates are experienced educators with strong communication and facilitation skills, comfortable analyzing data to support instructional decisions, and willing to travel locally up to 80%.

Qualifications

• A current or former educator with at least 2 years of classroom teaching experience (math preferred, grades 6-12 ideal)
• Passionate about supporting teachers and improving mathematics instruction through the use of effective tools, coaching, and collaboration
• Experienced in leading professional development, instructional coaching, or training sessions for educators—either in-person or virtually
• Technically proficient using tools such as LMS (Canvas, Schoology, Google Classroom, Classlink) and EdTech platforms (Mathspace, Desmos, GeoGebra, Khan Academy)
• Familiar with video conferencing tools (Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams) and productivity suites (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office)
• Comfortable analyzing student performance data and guiding educators in data-driven instructional practices
• Strong presenter with excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation, and time management
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple assignments across schools or districts
• Located within or near Virginia and willing to travel up to 80% with valid driver’s license
