Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a 2-year radiologic technology program from an accredited school.
• Current and valid Florida State License (CRT).
• Current and valid ARRT registry and Mammography (M) registry.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography procedures using 2D/3D techniques under Radiologist supervision.
• Train new team members and provide ongoing positioning refreshers for the specialist role.
• Explain procedures to reduce patient anxiety and obtain cooperation.
• Position patients and adjust immobilization devices for optimum views.
• Adjust exposure factors and operate equipment per protocol while maintaining radiation safety.
