Required: high school diploma, 2-year radiologic tech program, Florida CRT license, ARRT registry, Mammography registry, and BLS. Emphasis on patient comfort, safety, and precise imaging with QC and PACS workflow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a 2-year radiologic technology program from an accredited school.
• Current Florida State License (CRT).
• ARRT Radiologic Technologist registry and Mammography (M).
• BLS through the American Heart Association.
• Knowledge of mammography procedures and protocols.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to mammography.
• Knowledge of safety and HIPAA regulations.
• Skill in positioning patients and using computer systems.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography per protocols.
• Position patients and adjust equipment for optimal views.
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety.
• Verify exam matches prescription and document findings.
• Operate equipment and perform QC; manage supplies.
• Maintain radiation protection practices for patients and staff.
• Collaborate with radiologists and staff; train new team members.
• Adhere to HIPAA and safety regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.
