Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc in Gadsden, AL is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a day shift Wednesday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM. You will install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment, following safety and preventive maintenance processes.

The role requires reading simple electrical, mechanical and pneumatic drawings, experience with Microsoft Office, and strong hands-on skills in plumbing, electrical, HVAC and general facilities maintenance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and experience reading simple electrical, mechanical and pneumatic drawings.
• Microsoft Office experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Maintain chucks, 6 River mobile pick units, etc.
• Repair and maintain a wide variety of equipment associated with the facility
• Maintain knowledge of plant layout and safety/environmental policies
• Maintain facilities infrastructure and equipment across carpentry, electrical, plumbing, heating, HVAC and mechanical work; coordinate third-party services as needed
• Perform advanced plumbing work including installing, repairing and replacing fixtures and clearing obstructions
• Assist in implementing new processes and equipment
• Process products requiring testing and mechanical evaluation
• Complete cosmetic repairs to restore products to sellable condition
• Perform routine machine maintenance and document maintenance and repairs
