Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent with related work experience.
• Must have a current and valid Food Handler Certification.
• Must have a current and valid Responsible Beverage Service Certification and ABC Server ID.
• Minimum 21 years of age to pour alcoholic beverages.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete knowledge of departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
• Ensure standards are maintained at a superior level daily.
• Know table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours and dress code.
• Know liquor brands, beers, non-alcoholic selections, glassware and garnishes.
• Know the wine/champagne list and major wines by the glass.
• Be knowledgeable of all menu items, prices, preparation methods, and portions.
• Open and serve wine/champagne bottles per standards; serve food and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Communicate meal requirements and special requests to the kitchen; assist in maintaining bar area.
