The National/Alamo brand of Enterprise Mobility is seeking a responsible, dedicated person to join our team as a Seasonal Maintenance Technician located at our Service Center, 9115 NE Airport Way Portland, OR 97220.

The Seasonal Maintenance Technician performs car repair, preventive maintenance, in-fleeting service, and buy back/turn back service according to company policy and procedures. This is a position of routine difficulty requiring the exercise of reasonable judgment and initiative. Performs all responsibilities with a focus on the needs of our customers and in accordance with our Quality Standards.

As a seasonal employee employment cannot exceed 180 days during the defined season of May 2025 and ending in October 2025. A 13 consecutive weeks break in service at the end of the season is required prior to working again as a seasonal or a regular employee.

The pay for this position is $20 / hour.

Responsibilities

We are hiring now for immediate openings. Responsibilities include:

  • Perform complete vehicle maintenance inspection including tires, brakes, and all fluid levels
  • Perform preventive maintenance (oil change and tire rotation) service according to the manufacturer’s specifications and guidelines
  • Repair and replace tires
  • Replacement of wearable parts (i.e. bulbs, wipers)
  • Maintain vehicle repair history by documenting a Repair Order to accurately reflect steps taken and part(s) used during the repair
  • Comply with part and inventory tracking procedures
  • Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of all services
  • May process new fleet, fuel reclamation or buy backs
  • Follow proper procedures to comply with all health, safety and environmental standards
  • Maintain the work area in a safe, clean condition and comply with all uniform and equipment standards
  • Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have previous lube & tire tech experience
  • Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record within the past 3 years, and no drug or alcohol related convictions on driving record within the past 3 years (DUI/DWI)
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • Requires ownership of standard hand tools to perform basic maintenance and repair responsibilities
  • Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug test and will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D
  • This a seasonal position and you may work up to a maximum of 6 months (180 days) during the defined season and must experience a 13 consecutive week break in service before being re-hired
