Job summary

Valid8 Financial, Inc. seeks a Seasonal Visual Security Officer stationed at store entrances to deter theft and ensure a safe shopping environment while delivering exceptional customer service.

You will monitor customer traffic, assist the Loss Prevention team, and prepare detailed incident reports in accordance with laws and company policies. Flexibility for day, evening, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must own or be able to obtain a NYS Security license.
• Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers.
• Resourceful self-starter, works well independently as well as part of a team, and is able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Position requires prolonged periods of standing/walking around store or entrances.
• May occasionally involve reaching above eye level, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
• Must be able to assist in the apprehension of shoplifters.
• Ability to sustain long periods of time enclosed in surveillance areas.
• Frequently lift/move up to 30lbs.

Job description

The Seasonal Visual Security Officer primary responsibility is to deter theft, communicate suspicious activity to the Loss Prevention Department,maintaina safe business environment, and provide strong customer service. The Visual Security Officer is primarily stationed at customer entrances and monitors customer traffic entering and exiting the store. Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

Successfully complete all Loss Prevention training requirements including andmaintainingpersonal certifications as required by law.

Provide an exceptional customer experience by ensuring the customer is always the# 1priority.

Acknowledge Customers in a friendly and helpful manner upon Customer's entry/exit into/out the store.

Monitor high shortage areas including receiving as needed; may perform audit functions.

Use two-way communication devices tomaintaincontact withStoreLoss Prevention Team to ensure store safety.

Prepare prompt and complete reportsrelativeto alltheftincidents, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations, audits, and other activities as assigned by the Loss Prevention Manager.

Have knowledge of andmaintainstrict compliance with the law and company policies concerning apprehensions, searches and seizures, and the preservation of evidence.

Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
