Job summary

Great Performances in New York, NY is seeking a Line Cook for Wollman Rink (Seasonal) to join a fast-paced kitchen team. You will prepare and portion ingredients, follow recipes to ensure quality, and support the culinary team in delivering exceptional guest experiences.

This role requires strong knife skills and reliability in a high-volume environment. The position is part-time, on-site at Wollman Rink in Central Park, with hourly pay ranging from $20 to $23 based on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of culinary, catering, restaurant, or high-volume kitchen experience.
• Must own a complete knife and culinary tool kit.
• New York City Food Protection Certificate preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cut, chop, portion, and organize ingredients according to recipes and Chef direction.
• Execute prep and menu items according to standards for preparation, seasoning, quality, presentation, and portioning.
• Follow prep lists and production schedules for catering production and events.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
• Label, date, store, and rotate prepared ingredients and products.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstation; uphold food safety procedures.
