Join our vibrant culinary team at CHANDON California, where exceptional food meets world-class sparkling wines!

Pay Range: $21 - $26 per hour

Seasonal, Part Time

Yountville, CA (on-site work mode)

As a Seasonal Line Cook, you’ll work alongside our experienced team as we craft memorable dining experiences for our guests. Located in the picturesque Napa Valley, our newly remodeled Chandon Home offers a unique setting that combines elegance with rustic charm, providing the ideal backdrop for your culinary artistry.

In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, adhering to our standards for presentation and taste. You will have the chance to work with a variety of cuisines and develop your skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Teamwork is essential here, and you will be sharing your passion for culinary excellence with like-minded individuals.

You are someone who prides yourself on a sustainable and farm-to-table philosophy, and you are looking for team members who share that same passion. You have worked in wineries or upscale restaurants and diligently follow food safety, food preparation, and sanitation principles. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with our Head Chef to create delectable dishes that pair perfectly with our sparkling wines, enhancing our guests' tasting experience.

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Culinary degree or certification is a plus

Languages

  • Fluent in English; bilingual skills may be beneficial

Specific Job Knowledge, Skill & Ability

  • Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and high standards for food quality and presentation
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
  • Understanding of sanitation and food safety guidelines
  • Team player with strong communication skills

Professional Experience

  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment preferred but not required
  • A passion for cooking and willingness to learn and grow

Technical Skills

  • Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment is preferable
  • Ability to adapt to changing menus and seasonal ingredients

Personal Skills

  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm for food and hospitality
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle kitchen pressure with grace and professionalism

Licenses & Certificates

  • Must be able to obtain state health department certificate for food safety & sanitation

  • Comply with OSHA regulations, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
