Job summary

The City of Pasadena Parks & Recreation Department is seeking lifeguards for a seasonal position focused on patron safety and rule enforcement. You will respond to emergencies, administer first aid, CPR with AED, and report incidents while maintaining fitness and daily facility inspections.

Requirements include Red Cross Lifeguarding and First Aid certifications (can be obtained through the City prior to hire).

Qualifications

• Certification in Lifeguarding, CPR with AED, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Water Park (can be obtained through City prior to hire).
• Maintains fitness level for lifeguard duties.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patron safety and enforce facility rules.
• Recognize and respond quickly to emergencies; administer first aid, CPR, or AED as needed.
• Complete incident reports and communicate needs to staff and management.
• Inspect facilities and equipment daily for safety and report issues.
• Attend weekly In-Service Trainings and participate in city-wide trainings.
