Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must maintain strict nonpartisanship, neutrality, confidentiality across political aisles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (incl. Excel), Google Suite, and Zoom.

Responsibilities

  • Responds to questions from legislators, aides, lobbyists, staff, and the public.
  • Fulfills requests for printing, correspondence, stationery, and name badges.
  • Registers volunteer lobbyists and maintains records.
  • Manages mail distribution and billroom filing.
  • Maintains records of inventory and purchases.
  • Updates the social calendar on the legislature's public website.
  • Manages House Services workflow and delegates tasks to student interns.
