Job summary

Lakeshore Recycling Systems in Illinois is seeking a UN Seasonal Leaf Sweep Driver to service assigned routes, sweeping streets, parking lots, and alleys. The season runs April to mid-December with variable hours, including Saturdays during peak months.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Must have a valid Class B CDL and a DOT medical card (or obtain prior to hire).
• No DUI or OVI within the last 5 years, and no license suspensions within the last 2 years.
• Willingness to train if no prior experience in waste services.
• Ability to read and understand maps and follow routes accurately.

Responsibilities

• Operate truck safely in compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Sweep streets, parking lots, and alleys to meet company standards.
• Complete assigned routes and communicate route changes to dispatch.
• Maintain and update route sheets and driver logs.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and keep truck clean.
• Show professionalism while interacting with customers and internal staff.
• Have basic smartphone/app skills to access route information.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
