Job summary

Seasonal Part Time - Snapdragon Stadium Lead Dishwasher at San Diego State University seeks a hands-on supervisor to manage dishwashing operations across BOH areas, ensuring clean kitchens, stands and catering events.

You will train staff, maintain sanitation, coordinate with chefs and outlet managers, and help with recycling and inventory control; strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance in a high-volume stadium setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least two years of Food & Beverage Supervisory experience required.
• Stewarding or Kitchen related experience strongly preferred.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of health codes as they apply to food preparation.
• Strong knowledge of soaps, chemicals, sanitation techniques and ware washing procedures.
• Ability to train staff in all specific areas of stewarding.
• Food Handler certificate from the County of San Diego preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a staff of dishwashers and oversees daily cleaning in BOH areas.
• Maintains cleanliness in kitchens, stands, catering areas, and walk-ins.
• Ensures compliance with sanitation procedures and health regulations.
• Assists with food delivery for banquets and event breakdowns.
• Drives and maintains the kitchen recycling program.
• Guides stewarding activities, including labor management and inventory control.
• Communicates with Executive/Sous Chefs and outlet managers about daily activities and events.
• Manages inventories of china, glass, silver, cookware, and service equipment.
• Adheres to all company policies and applicable laws.
