Seasonal - Laborer Utilities (Water/Wastewater)

Join the City of Carmel, Indiana, as a Seasonal Laborer Utilities (Water/Wastewater) and be part of our summer staff. This part-time, seasonal role offers flexible hours and involves assisting with maintenance and facility upkeep.

Essential Job Functions

The following duties are typical for this position. Other duties may be assigned:

• Perform manual tasks such as painting, cleaning, digging, sweeping, landscaping, and drilling.
• Maintain vehicles, equipment, and tools by cleaning and inspecting after use.
• Report defects or repairs needed to supervisors.
• Assist with installation and operation of temporary traffic control measures.
• Follow safety standards including confined space, trenching, shoring, and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Transport, load, and unload equipment and materials.
• Keep records of work activities and inventory.
• Assist staff with daily tasks and errands.
• Perform other related duties as required.

• Ability to review and record data accurately.

• Operate within established guidelines.
