Job summary

ALS Limited is seeking a Seasonal Laboratory Assistant to support multiple laboratory sections in Kelso, Washington. The role involves assisting laboratory testing operations, preparing reagents, calibrating equipment, and ensuring QA/QC and safety standards are followed to maintain workflow efficiency.

The position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment, lift up to 30 lbs, and follow SOPs and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or laboratory experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of good laboratory practice.
• Comfortable in high paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and directions regarding standards of workplace behavior.
• Follow safety requirements as described in the Safety Manual and communicate safety concerns.
• Observe established safety regulations and comply with health and safety policies.
• Follow SOP requirements without deviation, except where approved by Supervisor or Manager.
• Adhere to QA/QC requirements.
• Prepare and standardize reagents and solutions.
• Calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair instruments as required.
• Organize workload to meet Turn Around Times (TATs).
• Create work lists, sample tables and other computer tasks as assigned.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Storing and disposing of samples properly.
