Job summary

ALS is seeking a Seasonal Laboratory Assistant to flex between departments (Sample Receiving, Inorganics, Organics) and support daily testing operations. You will help maintain QA/QC standards, prepare reagents and standards, and assist with instrument calibration while ensuring safety and productivity in a fast-paced lab environment.

The role emphasizes adherence to SOPs, proper documentation, and effective communication to meet daily priorities and turnarounds.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Good laboratory practice knowledge is required.
• Able to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs and safety requirements to ensure accurate test results.
• Prepare reagents, calibrations, and QC standards as required.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and proper sample handling.
• Record data accurately and ensure paperwork matches tested samples.
• Assist multiple departments to meet daily turnaround times and priorities.
