Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a part‑time Associate to deliver exceptional customer experiences in a fast‑paced retail setting in Santa Rosa, CA. You will engage customers, learn product knowledge, and help guide purchases while upholding brand standards.

You will support daily store operations, process transactions, and assist with inventory and merchandising. A 18+ year age requirement and retail experience are preferred; scheduling is flexible, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older at time of employment.
• 1 year of retail sales experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture by creating memorable, educational experiences that inspire repeat visits and customer loyalty.
• Maximize selling opportunities by identifying customer needs and offering relevant solutions.
• Promote add-on sales and support events that grow store traffic and customer engagement.
• Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales goals, contributing to store revenue and KPIs.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, high‑performing store culture and assist in onboarding new associates.
• Process transactions accurately using the POS system and support opening/closing procedures.
• Complete inventory transactions and maintain visual merchandising standards.
• Adhere to wage/hour laws and follow SOPs communicated by management.
