Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Technical or vocational training in mechanical maintenance is an asset.
• Previous experience in ice maintenance, resurfacing, or skating operations required.
• Familiarity with ice rink operations and refrigeration systems is beneficial.
• CPR/First Aid certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily ice maintenance and resurfacing to ensure a smooth, high‑quality skating surface.
• Monitor ice conditions and adjust for outdoor temperatures and usage.
• Operate and maintain ice resurfacing equipment and related tools safely.
• Perform skate sharpening and ensure gear is ready for guests.
• Inspect ice surface and equipment to identify safety hazards.
• Troubleshoot mechanical or ice quality issues to minimize disruptions.
• Assist with basic maintenance tasks including refrigeration equipment as trained.
• Document maintenance logs and cooperate with hotel engineering and management.
