Job summary

City of Denison seeks a Seasonal Denison on Ice Maintenance Worker to ensure safe and smooth operation of the ice rink. You will prepare ice, resurface it, operate resurfacing equipment, and keep the facility clean and safe during and after hours.

Qualifications

• HS diploma/equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience in facilities/maintenance preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry objects 1–50 lbs.
• Evenings, weekends and inclement weather work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ice before opening and resurface it after operations.
• Operate ice resurfacing equipment.
• Clean and sanitize rink and surrounding areas before, during and after operations.
• Maintain and repair rink equipment and supplies.
• Monitor refrigeration and report issues to supervisor.
• Follow safety protocols and facility procedures.
• Assist with setup/teardown for events and public skating sessions.
