Job summary

Eataly in New York is seeking a Host to warmly greet guests, seat them, and maintain dining room flow to ensure smooth service. The Host will manage seating charts, assist with reservations where applicable, and coordinate guest flow across service stations during peak periods.

The role requires onsite availability with flexible evenings and weekends, lifting up to 50 pounds, and standing for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests; manage dining room flow during service.
• Maintain waitlist and seating chart with a computerized system.
• Take and manage reservations where applicable.
• Balance guest flow among service stations according to availability.
• Escort guests to tables, provide menus, and introduce servers.
• Assist servers and bus staff as needed to maintain service effectiveness.
• Perform other duties as required.
