Job summary

The City of Midwest City is hiring a Part-Time Holiday Lights Attendant to monitor the Holiday Lights Spectacular, open and close displays nightly, and assist with greeters and volunteers.

You will deposit nightly donations with a police escort, notify Public Works for maintenance, and help with sound setup as needed. This outdoor role requires evening/weekend/holiday availability and weather readiness.

Starting pay is $12.0807/hr for 20-30 hours/week from November 5 through December 28. EOE.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic electrical procedures and safety practices.
• Ability to make decisions using good judgment and communicate clearly.
• Knowledge of safety policies and procedures when managing volunteers.
• Ability to explain procedures to volunteers and relate to the public tactfully.
• Experience guiding volunteers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes Holiday Lights nightly and ensures displays come on at the right time.
• Greet volunteers, provide general instructions, and supervise activities.
• Deposit nightly donations with police escort and report issues to Events Specialist.
• Monitor displays, notify Public Works for electrical maintenance, and operate sound systems as needed.
• Work evenings, weekends and holidays outdoors in various weather conditions.
